When it comes to making our PC’s family-friendly, many people are frustrated by repeated attempts to defeat a wily enemy with an incomplete
plan, or incomplete knowledge. The health of a PC is the result of a coordinated collection of protective measures. Just installing virus protection,
or adding a spyware killer is frequently not enough; especially on an already infected PC. Many malicious programmers are now writing “stealth-mode”
spyware (with special techniques for hiding from defensive programs) and special techniques are required to detect and remove them. In these cases,
just adding protection to an infected PC is like building a house on shifting sand. It’s defeated before it can be completed.
The Joshua Project is an initiative of Computer Project Consulting (CPC) to help families and businesses clean up their PC’s to resist the tempter’s hold. When successfully cleaned, your family or business PC should: - Be much less likely to surprise your family with undesirable images and messages - Provide a productive learning resource rather than be a source of risk - Last longer, and still be worth passing on to someone else when you replace it |
Phil 4:8-9 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things; and the God of peace shall be with you. (NAS) Gaining Control: |
